Organization: Autism Resource Centre (ARC)
Every year, ARC offers a variety of fun programs during the summer.
These programs rely entirely on hiring summer students that are enrolled in SEED or HRDC program
so please, share the word to your MLA that we need students this year!
Our camp usually offers a ratio of 1 student per child so depending on grants, camp can easily change
from one year to the next. Here are our 2 most common programs that we've offered in previous years:
One on one support (-13)
Half days (9-12 or 1-4) We host fun activities at the Centre or go out for outings. The child is paired up
one to one with a summer staff. Themes vary every week and activities include zoo day, bowling,
sailing, day at the beach, cinema, water park etc. Schedule changes depending on the weather.
Teen Program (+13)
Our teen program is a great way for teens to meet other teens to socialize during the summer. The
ratio is approximately 3 teens per summer student. If your child requires one to one support, we have
different options available. This group is also based around fun activities which they get involved in
planning and deciding.
If you feel your child could not participate in these 2 groups, let us know how we can help.
