Organization: Open Sky Co-operative
once a year, Open Sky trains up to 12 adults who have experienced employment barriers, to build personal skills and business understandings, with an opportunity to create one's own business to suit one's own interests and needs. The student mix includes adults with ASD and/or mental health challenges. This training is provided in partnership with the NB Department of Post-Secondary Education Training and Labour.
An application form must be filled out and submitted. All applications will be kept confidential, and be reviewed by the Admissions Committee that includes Open Sky staff, a retired Social Worker and a Certified Psychologist. An interview with the individual and their family or caregiver may be required before a program can be proposed for the individual. Applications and enquiries are welcome year-round.
