Organization: Stan Cassidy Centre for rehabilitation
Patients evaluated by the physiatrists at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation include patients with traumatic and acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and disease, complex stroke, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, congenital/hereditary neurologic disorders, upper extremity amputees, brachial plexus injuries, and other complex neurological disorders. Patients with musculoskeletal diagnoses such as chronic neck and back pain, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis are not seen at this Centre.
A completed Rehabilitation Services Request form, signed by a treating physician, can be mailed or faxed to the Medical Staff Office at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation.
The cost for these services is covered through the provincial Medicare system.
